So I am back with day three of #SheReadsTruth and let me tell you, I was in need of this, this morning.
As I sit here typing, listening to music, I think of how awesome and amazing our God is and how we, as children of God, the most wonderful, powerful, and most high King.. We are free! As Kim Walker would state it “We are a chosen generation!” So let’s start acting like it my sisters and brothers! We can hope in our Lord and God Almighty!
Today’s Scriptures: Psalm 121, Romans 4:18, Romans 8: 24, 25.
1: I will lift up my eyes to the hills — From whence comes my help?
2: My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
3: He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
4: Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5: The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
6: The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
7: The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.
8: The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.
Notes for Psalm 121:
You can TRUST in the Lord, for HE will NOT forsake you!
18: Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”
Notes for Romans 4:18 :
It’s all about HOPE & FAITH & TRUST in God!
Romans 8: 24,25
24: For we were saved in this hope, but that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees?
25: But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
Notes for Romans 8: 24,25:
Why hope for something that is already there? You already have it, so it doesn’t build your faith any more then what it already is currently!
HOWEVER! When we trust in God and have faith for the unseen and wait on the Lord, it build our faith and perseverance (character) stronger.
Devotional Content: Hope!
He is our HOPE!
Whether today brings joy or sorrow, triumph or tragedy, bright and shiny blessings, or the quiet, hidden kind, our hope is the SAME!
Hear that, Sisters. Our circumstances do not change our HOPE!
We have a myriad of fears and joys and challenges among us……
BUT! We have a singular HOPE!
This life in unsure.
Our circumstances are unsure.
Our God, He is sure. And He is our HOPE!
