Haha, couldn’t come up with a witty title to this blog post, so that will have to do. Lol. 😛
I wouldn’t say that I’m totally vegan, but I have definitely cleaned up my eating A LOT. Not just because I know it’s healthy for me, but I literally had no choice BUT to!
If you’re close to me, you know I have a sensitive stomach. Pretty much, that means, if I eat anything in excess or just eat junk food in general, I get HORRID heart burn after I eat and feel like total and utter crap for the rest of the day/evening. Food can determine whether or not you will feel good later on or not. SURPRISE! Well, not really. Unless you totally just ignore your body and the health concerns of processed and junk foods.
Don’t get me wrong: I could go all day just sitting on the couch eating my oh so favorite salt and vinegar chips with a side of chocolate donuts and a milkshake. Not to mention I could stand to gain a few pounds. LOL. But just thinking about it right now makes me depressed!
EVERYTHING IN MODERATION!
It’s okay to indulge in some unhealthy food every once in awhile, but when it becomes an every day thing? That’s a problem.
I’m not here to judge any one’s eating habits because I have been there done that. However, I am here to educate.
So every Saturday I search online for new recipes to try out (something that would have leftovers and would last me like 2-3 days) and then Sunday’s after church, I would pick up ingredients of said recipe at the grocery store and then cook it throughout the week. Everything I eat now is pretty much home made! And oh, let’s not forget to mention, I overload on my fruits and vegetables daily. YUM!
No, seriously, I love eating healthy. Who said eating healthy couldn’t be fun!?
If you guys are BLESSED enough 😉 (which I know you are), I may just share a few of the recipes I find online!
So. Tonight I will be making a vegetarian/home made Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta. Should be good! I’ll definitely let you guys know tomorrow (after sundown) how it turns out!
I also experimented and made my own personal fruit smoothie that me, my best friend Emily and my mother loved! So I will be making that more often for breakfasts and snacks. 🙂
Here’s a picture of it:
Looks good, huh? It sure was!
I will definitely be experimenting with a lot of new recipes in the coming weeks, months, even years lol. I’m ready to try something new and different!
Thank you guys for reading this and taking out the time to read my blog! I will be back tomorrow (after sundown) to talk about the food I am fixing tonight and let you all know how it turned out.
I hope every one has a blessed night/day.. Wherever you are! I love each and every single one of you!
