Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. (Ephesians 4:29 – NASB, Bold and Italics added for emphasis)
The words you speak into your life will either have a positive or negative side effect in your life. Whether you choose to speak negative or positive, what you say will determine what you will and will not receive in life. I’m not one that believes in luck, I’m not one that believes in chance, I am one that believes in what you sow, you will reap back in to your life. We have THAT much power and choice in our lives. So when you reap kindness in to others, you WILL reap it back in to your life. Now, that’s not to say only to give when you can receive something back. No, because that just defeats the whole purpose right there. What I am saying is give, not in order to receive back, but just out of the kindness and willingness in your heart, and God WILL bless your socks off! Trust and believe He will!
That isn’t totally what I wanted to talk about in this blog post today LOL but you know, the Holy Spirit has a way of showing out and changing things.
I thank Him for that because a lot of the times, I don’t even know what to even say on here.
But no, seriously… Be careful what comes out of your mouth! You may think what you say has no effect in your life at all, but God hears what you say and believe me, what comes out of your mouth, is what you believe.
“It is not what enters into the mouth that defiles the man, but what proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man. (Matthew 15:11 – NASB, Bold and Italics added for emphasis)
A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. (Luke 6:45 – NLT, Bold and Italics added for emphasis)
All your life, you could be saying “I have anxiety” or “Things will never turn out right” or “Bad things seem to always happen to me” or “Whenever things get good, something bad always happens, so I never hold my breath” …. NO NO NO NO NO! Stop that speaking RIGHT NOW! That’s NOT what God says, so why are you speaking it into your life? Did you not know that what you speak out of your mouth continuously, will manifest itself into your life? You could mean NO harm in what you say, at all! But if you align your words with what God says about you AND your life, you’ll find that what you are saying is actually NOT what God says. Yes, He says we will have troubles and sorrows here on this earth. I am in no way, shape or form trying to say that our lives will be perfect. But you see, we have more power over our lives than what we think we do, just by the words that we speak. So, as my title states, be careful what comes out of your mouth!!!!!!!
Let me share a story with you ladies (and gentlemen, if you are a guy viewing my page, LOL) that I heard a week ago at Bible study that really stuck out to me.
There was this man, a good man but he wasn’t careful of what he said out of his mouth. All his life, he would say he’d NEVER live past the age of 39. One time he was at a service in church and was ill and wanted to be prayed over. The pastor was about to pray over him but the Lord told the pastor not to pray over him and later revealed to the pastor that this man had said that he wouldn’t live past age 39, that’s why God did not want the pastor to pray over him. Couple of months later, he died on his 39th birthday. Crazy, right?
What is it that I am trying to say? I’m trying to say, that no matter how much you do not want to believe it, your words have more power than you think they do. If you continuously say the negative things that you will say, you will always reap negative things in your life; but if you start to sow positivity in to your life, you will start to reap the positive things in your life. I don’t know about you, but I choose the latter of the two.
You just really have to be careful what you sow in to your life. God says in His Word that you WILL reap what you sow. If you sow goodness in to your life, you will reap goodness. If you sow righteousness in to your life, you will reap righteousness in to your life. If you sow positivity in to your life, you will reap positivity in to your life. I think you get my point here.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. (Galatians 6:7 – NASB, Bold and Italics added for emphasis)
Ladies, I want to challenge you all. Really think about some of the negative things that you currently and HAVE said in your life that you feel you are reaping the consequences of. Really REFLECT on it all and write it all down and replace it with a positive that is in the Bible and start to BELIEVE and SPEAK that positive. This could take a couple days, a couple weeks or even a couple of months. You will have to uproot EVERY negative thing you have said in order to reap the full benefits of this. Take it up to God and have Him handle it, but do your part as well. Yes, God can do supernatural miracles in your life. That’s all fine and dandy. But God is more concerned about your spiritual growth rather than giving you and instant miracle that will have no real positive effect on you. Be GRATEFUL that God is making you work for the benefits, because in the end, you will grow and be a much better and stronger person than you were before.
You do have the power to change your life for the better, so stop sitting around and making excuses as to why you can’t. It will get you NOWHERE in life. God will plant that seed and then you go work for it. We don’t do hand overs over here. 😉 And I say that for YOUR benefit! Change your life! Focus on God! Allow God to take your hand, lead you, help you and ultimately lead you to the victorious life He has planned out specifically for you! You are worthy of it, my dear sisters!
I love you ladies and so does God! God loves us all, whether you live for Him or not; whether you believe in Him or not. He LOVES you with His whole HEART! He cries out for you every single day! He WANTS YOU!
Love you guys! Be Blessed!
