So many of us dread Mondays, simply because it’s the first day back to work or school. It’s definitely a least favorite day for most. It’s a day where we have to get back to reality whether we like it or not.
Did you know that you actually DON’T have to dread Mondays? It’s all in your thought and word process. If you constantly meditate on the fact that you dread Mondays, of course you’re going to dread it. It’s like it’s been programmed into our minds and society; basically it’s like the typical “normal” for everyone.
You go to bed Sunday night, set your alarm for Monday morning, you lie awake a couple of minutes (or hours, for those that are insomniacs) and think to yourself, ‘Well, tomorrow is back to the old grind. Back to reality. I am seriously dreading going to work/school tomorrow morning. Or getting up early, for that matter’ *Sigh*.
We have the power to choose our thoughts and words. Even our feelings can be chosen by simply changing our thoughts and words.
You don’t have to dread Mondays! God created each day special, so take joy in the fact that our Creator is perfect and He knows exactly what He is doing! God loves you with an endless love and I promise you that He’s with you every step of the way! He holds your hand through every obstacle and trial you have!
And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good (suitable, pleasant) and He approved it completely. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day. (Genesis 1:31 AMP)
So with all of that being said, instead of saying ‘I hate Mondays’ or ‘I’m dreading work/school’; say something along the lines of ‘I am an OVERCOMER! I will have a wonderful day and blessings will come my way! God created today perfect, so I will rejoice in it!’
This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24 AMP)
Now doesn’t that shift the atmosphere!? 😉 Thought so!
Side note: If you dread going to school or work so much, should you really be there? Pray about it! And if you know for a fact that you’re supposed to be there, why not change your attitude about it? I mean, us Christians should be the shift makers and the game changers. 😉 You can change the attitude of your environment. Be the first one that does! Be a trendsetter!
“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. (Matthew 5:14-16 NLT)
Much love to you all! Remember that God is CRAZY faithful! Have a blessed Monday!
