Sing a New Song!

#DDPraiseChallenge Day 7

Day 7 PC.

Song for Today:

Make a song of your own. Sing to the Lord! Shout to the Lord! Play an instrument for the Lord! Dance for the Lord!

Scripture for Today:

Psalm 149.

1Praise the Lord!
Sing to the Lord a new song.
Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful.
2O Israel, rejoice in your Maker.
O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King.
3Praise his name with dancing,
accompanied by tambourine and harp.
4For the Lord delights in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory.
5Let the faithful rejoice that he honors them.
Let them sing for joy as they lie on their beds.
6Let the praises of God be in their mouths,
and a sharp sword in their hands—
7to execute vengeance on the nations
and punishment on the peoples,
8to bind their kings with shackles
and their leaders with iron chains,
9to execute the judgment written against them.
This is the glorious privilege of his faithful ones.
Praise the Lord!

Psalm 150.

1Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heaven!
2Praise him for his mighty works;
praise his unequaled greatness!
3Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn;
praise him with the lyre and harp!
4Praise him with the tambourine and dancing;
praise him with strings and flutes!
5Praise him with a clash of cymbals;
praise him with loud clanging cymbals.
6Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!
Praise the Lord!

Poem for Today:

Untitled

Beautiful is the One Who keeps us from all harm.
Blessed is the One Who gives us hope when there is none left.
Glorious is the One Who gives us peace in the midst of troubled waters.
Holy is the One Who we call upon.
For He is worthy of all praise, reverence and respect.

My Thoughts for Today:

Today I was reminded that regardless of how we feel, we must praise God from a heart of cheer. We must reverence God with an awestruck heart and love Him with everything we’ve got. We show so much enthusiasm towards sports and celebrities and materiel things, but what about God? Why don’t we praise Him with that same kind of enthusiasm? He deserves it.

What I Learned During #DDPraiseChallenge :

I learned that we must always stay focused on Jesus no matter what comes our way and allow absolutely NO distractions to come into our lives. I’m learning that I must learn to tell my feelings to shut up so I can get going about my day and not have a racing mind full of thoughts. I’ve also learned that praising God in the midst of storms keeps everything in line. Don’t give up! Keep fighting! Keep pushing! Stay focused!

God loves you and so do I!
